Synopsis

Detective Mark Corley (Frank Grillo) is a man having a very bad day. Just as he bails his estranged son, Trent, out of jail, a massive alien invasion strikes Los Angeles. After being abducted into a terrifying organic warship, Mark discovers the gruesome truth: the aliens are harvesting human brains to power their biomechanical soldiers. Inside the ship, Mark encounters survivors from the first film and witnesses the birth of a hybrid human-alien infant who grows at an accelerated rate. The ship eventually crashes in rural Laos, where Mark must forge an uneasy alliance with a local resistance group led by Sua (Iko Uwais). Together, they realize that the hybrid child’s blood might hold the key to turning the tide against the invaders.
