📖 Synopsis

Drishyam 2 (2022) is the high-stakes sequel to the 2015 cult classic. Seven years have passed since Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) successfully outsmarted the police to protect his family. Vijay is now an affluent businessman and a cinema hall owner, but the shadows of the past continue to haunt his family. His daughter, Anju, still suffers from PTSD, and the town of Pondolem hasn't forgotten the "disappearance" of Sam Deshmukh. The case reopens when a new, sharp-witted IG, Tarun Ahlawat (Akshaye Khanna), arrives in Goa. Unlike previous officers, Tarun is a master strategist and a close friend of Meera Deshmukh (Tabu). When a key witness from that fateful night in 2014 resurfaces, the police finally find what they’ve been looking for: the skeletal remains of Sam, buried under the very police station Vijay once "guarded." Just when it seems that Vijay and his family are headed for a lifetime in prison, the master of "visual deception" reveals his ultimate plan.
