Synopsis

In sunny Spain, Ferdinand (John Cena) is not like the other bulls. While his peers spend their days head-butting and dreaming of the glory of the bullfighting ring, Ferdinand would much rather sit under a cork tree and smell the flowers. After a tragic loss, he escapes the training ranch and finds sanctuary on a beautiful flower farm with a young girl named Nina, who raises him as her oversized pet. However, a literal "bull in a china shop" mishap at a local festival leads the authorities to mistake the gentle giant for a dangerous beast. Captured and returned to the very ranch he fled, Ferdinand is forced to face off against the world's greatest matador, El Primero. With the help of a wisecracking goat named Lupe and a trio of resourceful hedgehogs, Ferdinand must lead a misfit team on an epic journey to get back home, proving along the way that being a "fighting bull" is a choice, not a destiny.
