Synopsis

Dr. Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) has spent his entire life searching for a cure for the rare and fatal blood disease that affects both him and his lifelong friend, Milo (Matt Smith). Driven to the brink of desperation, Michael conducts a dangerous experiment in international waters, splicing human DNA with that of vampire bats. The gamble appears to be a success, curing his illness and granting him superhuman strength, speed, and echolocation. However, the cure comes with a horrific price: an insatiable thirst for human blood. While Michael struggles to control his new primal urges using synthetic blood, Milo—who has also taken the serum—embraces the darkness and begins a murderous rampage across New York City. Now, the "Living Vampire" must hunt down his surrogate brother to stop the bloodshed while being pursued by FBI agents Simon Stroud (Tyrese Gibson) and Al Rodriguez.
