Synopsis

A year after the prehistoric piranha massacre at Lake Victoria, the carnivorous fish have evolved. Marine biology student Maddy (Danielle Panabaker) returns to her hometown to help her greedy stepfather, Chet (David Koechner), run "The Big Wet"—a water park he has recently converted into an adult-themed attraction. Despite Maddy’s warnings that the piranhas have traveled through the underground plumbing, Chet refuses to shut down the park before the grand opening. Disaster strikes when the school of piranhas bursts through the park's vents and drains during the crowded launch event. With the "The Hoff" himself, David Hasselhoff, on hand as a skeptical celebrity lifeguard, Maddy and her friends must lead a desperate battle to save the guests from becoming fish food.
