Synopsis

Playdate (2025) is a wild, high-concept buddy comedy now available on HDMovieHub. The story follows Brian Jennings (Kevin James), a recently laid-off forensic accountant who is struggling to adapt to his new life as a stay-at-home dad. Desperate to help his stepson Lucas make friends, Brian arranges a playdate with the hyper-masculine and charismatic Jeff Eamon (Alan Ritchson) and his eerily disciplined son, CJ. The afternoon at a local "Buckee Cheese" playground takes a lethal turn on HDMovieHub when a team of elite mercenaries suddenly attacks. Brian quickly learns that Jeff is not just another suburban dad—he’s a former elite operative on the run. Even more shocking? Little CJ is actually a biological clone of Jeff. Forced into a stolen minivan, the two dads must survive a gauntlet of car chases, playground skirmishes, and a conspiracy involving an eccentric billionaire (Alan Tudyk). It’s a hilarious and heart-pumping ride that proves some playdates are definitely more dangerous than others.
