Synopsis

Sarvam Maya (2025) marks the grand return of Nivin Pauly in his most charming avatar yet. Directed by Akhil Sathyan, this feel-good supernatural comedy follows Prabhendu (Nivin Pauly), an atheist and struggling musician born into a prestigious family of traditional Hindu priests in Palakkad. After failing to secure a visa for Europe, a broke Prabhendu reluctantly returns home to assist his cousin, Roopesh (Aju Varghese), in their priestly duties—strictly for the money. His life takes a bizarre turn during a routine exorcism when he starts seeing a ghost that no one else can see. The spirit, a cheerful and modern "Gen-Z" ghost with no memory of her past, is nicknamed "Delulu" (Riya Shibu) by a bewildered Prabhendu. What follows is a heartwarming and hilarious journey as the skeptical priest and the quirky ghost form an unlikely bond. As Prabhendu helps Delulu uncover the truth about her identity—revealed to be Maya Mathew—he finds himself reconnecting with his own faith, his estranged father, and his abandoned musical dreams.
