📖 Synopsis

Selfie (2022) is a raw and gritty exploration of the dark side of the Indian education system. The film follows Kanal (G.V. Prakash Kumar), a hot-headed engineering student who holds a deep grudge against his father for forcing him into a degree he never wanted. Upon discovering that his father paid a massive bribe to secure his college seat, Kanal is drawn into the murky world of college admission racketeering. He starts working as a sub-broker, realizing that "selling seats" is a multi-crore business built on the desperation of parents. However, his rapid rise brings him face-to-face with the kingpin of the admission mafia, Ravi Varma (Gautham Vasudev Menon). What follows is a dangerous game of ego, money, and survival. As the stakes get higher and blood is shed, Kanal must decide if he wants to stay a part of the corrupt system or blow the whistle on the entire scam.
