Synopsis

Sitaare Zameen Par (2025) is the highly anticipated spiritual successor to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par. While the first film focused on a child’s struggle with dyslexia, this sports dramedy—an official remake of the Spanish hit Champions—shifts the lens to collective empowerment and inclusion. The story follows Gulshan Arora (Aamir Khan), a brash, short-tempered basketball coach whose career hits rock bottom after a drunk-driving incident and a public spat with his seniors. As part of his court-ordered community service, he is tasked with training a basketball team composed of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Initially skeptical and insensitive, Gulshan’s journey with these "ten stars" becomes one of profound transformation. As he prepares them for a national tournament, he realizes that while he was meant to be their coach, they are the ones teaching him the true meaning of "normal."
