Synopsis

Thudarum (2025) marks the legendary reunion of Mohanlal and Shobana after nearly 15 years, delivering a film that is part emotional family drama and part gritty revenge thriller. The story follows Shanmugham (Mohanlal), fondly known as "Benz" in the quiet town of Ranni. A former film stuntman, Shanmugham now leads a peaceful life as a taxi driver, deeply attached to his classic Ambassador Mark 1 car. His world is shattered when his car is seized by the police under the pretext of a drug-smuggling case involving his son's friends. To get his livelihood back, Shanmugham is coerced by a corrupt police officer, CI George Mathan, into a "favor" that involves driving through a deep forest at night. As the journey progresses, Shanmugham discovers a horrifying truth hidden in the trunk of his own car—a discovery that reveals a massive cover-up by the authorities. What follows is a high-stakes battle of wits and strength as a humble father reverts to his stuntman roots to protect his family and seek justice.
