In the dark and atmospheric Muthu Alias Kaattaan Season 1, a rural police station in Tamil Nadu—on the verge of closing due to a lack of crime—is suddenly rocked by the discovery of a severed head near its gates. The investigation into the identity of the victim leads the police into the complex, fragmented life of a man named Muthu (Vijay Sethupathi).As the story jumps between the late 90s and 2017, we see Muthu through the eyes of those who knew him: to some, he was a savior and a hero; to others, a terrifying monster or a legendary miracle. From working as a watch mechanic to navigating the underworlds of Mumbai and Kerala, his journey is a slow-burning saga of revenge and redemption. Directed by the National Award-winning M. Manikandan, this series features a powerhouse cast including Milind Soman and Sudev Nair.
